My First Attempt At Poetry. Originally Posted October 16, 2006

Give me your heart, she said,
And I will love you.
I will protect your heart, she said,
And I will honor you.

Let me hear your heart, she said,
And I will sing along with you.
Let me see your heart, she said,
And I will cherish you.

I will abandon your heart, she said not,
Until it was too late.
I will crush your heart, she said not,
Until her heel was upon it.
